Getting started

When does Tradia launch, and what's in it?
Tradia opens in November 2026. It comes with everything you need to start selling: a store builder, checkout (card, bank transfer, USSD, and virtual transfer), orders and stock in one place, delivery through our partners, a sales dashboard, and one Tradia account your buyers use in every store. Live shopping follows soon after.
Can I sign up as a merchant today?
Not yet. Merchant sign-up isn't open, so the way in is the waitlist. Join it and we'll email you when your spot opens. The first group is limited to 500 Nigerian merchants.
What happens after I join the waitlist?
You get a confirmation email straight away. When we open merchant access we'll email you with your next steps, and a Tradia teammate helps you get your first store live. Joining the waitlist doesn't commit you to anything.
I'm a shopper, not a merchant. Is there anything for me?
Yes. Buyers get one Tradia account that works across every merchant on the platform. See Tradia for buyers for what that means.

Pricing & payments

How much will Tradia cost?
There's a Free plan, plus Basic, Pro, and Enterprise plans from ₦10K to ₦50K per month. We take a small commission on sales (0.2%) and charge 1.3% to 1.5% per transaction to process payments.
Which payment methods can my customers use?
Cards, bank transfer, USSD, and virtual transfer, all in one checkout. Payments match up to each order automatically, so there's no spreadsheet to reconcile at the end of the day.
When do I get paid?
Payments are held in escrow until the order is completed, then released to you on a predictable schedule. If a buyer raises a dispute, the payout for that order pauses until it's resolved.

Selling

I already sell in chats and on social media. Do I have to stop?
No. Tradia works alongside the channels you already use, it doesn't replace them. Orders from your chats, your social pages, your shop, and your online store all flow into one stock count, one set of reports, and one delivery process. Your stock count stays the same everywhere, updated in under two seconds.
Is this only for small businesses?
No. Tradia is built for businesses of every size and every type. Market traders, growing online brands, and large national merchants all fit. Enterprise plans add custom integrations, API access, and a written uptime commitment.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Your store comes with a Tradia address, and you can point your own domain at it.
What can't I sell on Tradia?
Illegal goods, counterfeits, and a short list of restricted items are not allowed. The full list is in our acceptable use policy.
How is Tradia different from other platforms?
Most commerce platforms were built for other markets and add Nigerian payments, local delivery, and live selling as an afterthought, if at all. Tradia is built Nigeria-first: your store, payments, delivery, live shopping, and a real uptime commitment in one place.

Delivery

Can I join if I'm outside the big cities?
Yes. The first group is open to merchants across the country. Partner delivery starts in the largest cities and expands soon after. Pickup and your own delivery work anywhere from day one.
How does delivery work?
You choose pickup, your own delivery, or last-mile through a Tradia delivery partner. Delivery rates show at checkout so buyers see them before they pay, and both sides get live tracking.

Your data & safety

What happens to my data?
Your data is yours. We don't sell it, share it, or use it to advertise to your customers. Identity checks for you and your business are built in, not optional. And you can export anything, any time, from day one. Read the privacy policy and see how we protect accounts on the security page.
Why do you verify my identity and business?
Buyers need to know the store they're paying is real. Merchants verify their identity (and their business, if registered) before a store can take orders. It protects buyers, and it protects honest merchants from impersonators.
